Leveling Up Disney Springs: The Reality Behind the New Level99 Venue

Leveling Up Disney Springs: The Reality Behind the New Level99 Venue

By |

There is a new player on the Disney Springs West Side, and it represents a significant shift in Walt Disney World’s adult and teen entertainment offerings. Level99 officially opened its doors on June 29, 2026, transforming a massive 46,800-square-foot space into a sprawling complex of physical and mental challenges. I’ve evaluated the newly launched venue to see if it truly lives up to the hype and how it fits into your overall Disney vacation strategy.

The Logistics of Play: Challenge Rooms and Duels

Equipped with an RFID “Veloband,” guests gain access to 63 distinct life-sized mini-games spread across two floors. This is not a solo endeavor; almost all games strictly require a minimum of two players to participate, making it a distinctly cooperative or competitive team experience.

In my assessment, Level99 adds a critical missing piece to the Disney Springs entertainment portfolio. It provides a much-needed, highly repeatable indoor haven when the Florida heat or afternoon rain becomes unbearable. However, parents should take note of the target demographic. While the venue is heavily gamified, it is firmly designed for older children (ages 11 and up) and adults. The puzzles and physical hurdles will most likely prove too difficult and frustrating for little ones.

Scratch Kitchen and Craft Cocktails

Beyond the gameplay, the venue boasts a scratch kitchen and a two-story bar. The culinary highlight is undeniably their Detroit-style pizza, alongside a surprisingly extensive menu of elevated comfort foods and craft drinks. I found the quality of all the food and drinks to be excellent, with enough diverse options to satisfy a wide range of tastes. Given the high level of active entertainment provided, the pricing structure feels entirely fair and justified.

Operational Reality: Booking is Mandatory

If you are planning to swing by just to sample the food or grab a drink at the bar, you will need to adjust your strategy. We were informed that, at least during this initial opening phase, Level99 is strictly limiting access to guests who have pre-booked gameplay times. Walk-ins hoping exclusively for a dining experience will have to wait for a later date when management potentially opens the restaurant and bar sections to the general public.
